KIRKLEY Hall is celebrating after winning the prestigious Wedding Venue for the North East 2015. The venue received the accolade at the North of England Wedding Awards in association with The Wedding Guide UK during a gala dinner ceremony at York Racecourse.

The Awards reward client service excellence and recognise businesses that go the extra mile for their customers, providing outstanding service and inspiring their customers to actively promote them.

Entrants were judged on customer reviews across a number of areas including:

  • Service excellence
  • Product quality
  • Value for money
  • Outstanding commitment

Wayne Vickers, General Manager, Kirkley Hall Ltd, said: "Myself and all of the team are completely overjoyed by this fantastic achievement.

"We are always grateful just having the privilege to be part of a couple's special day so to get recognition for first class services provided by the whole team makes all the hard work worthwhile.

"Competition in our category was very strong seeing us up against some extremely well established and credible venues so we were honoured to make it through as a finalist. To go on and win the award was unbelievable"

Wedding Venue for the North East 2015 was one of the most hotly-contested categories at the Awards with ten other entrants.

Nick and Grace Charlton, who married at Kirkley Hall on 22 August 2014, said: "We received amazing service and quality throughout our wedding planning and especially on the day. The staff from Wayne (planner) to the bar staff were all excellent and made us feel very special. The food was also amazing and we had lots of compliments from guests."

Judges including Alison Wren, of Paprika Marketing, Tricia Sheriff, of She Loves York, Wedding Services Provider Laura Murray and Jemma Cochrane, of Chair Covers of Yorkshire, were also looking for businesses, which exhibited the highest professional image and standards.

Kirkley Hall is Grade II listed with several function rooms available for weddings - all of which look out onto an Italianate patio and the beautiful grounds and gardens of a seventeenth century rural estate.

During 2014/15, weddings at Kirkley Hall hit a record high of 82 weddings taking place during the financial year.

The wedding party is given exclusive use of the main hall, patio and lawn throughout their special day.

The venue prides itself on providing a personal service for customers with the ethos that "no two weddings are the same." The team tailors its service to meet the client's needs, creating bespoke menu options at competitive prices.

You can find out more by visiting Kirkley Hall's wedding fair on Sunday 4 October from noon to 4pm. Admission is free.

The venue's team of wedding co-ordinators will be on hand to answer any questions about the venue, brochure and exceptional packages. A number of the venue's selected suppliers will also exhibit.
