Animal Care
Working with animals is an extremely rewarding vocation that
requires a high level of skill and dedication.
There are many career opportunities in expanding animal related
industries including veterinary surgeries, kennels and catteries,
zoos, breeding, retail management, animal sanctuaries and marketing
animal products.
Whether you're already working in this sector or would like to
begin a career caring for animals, we have training ranging from
entry level courses, right through to higher education. Our courses
lead to a variety of job opportunities in the industry and can
offer progression onto university courses.
Our tourist attraction Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens provides an
excellent learning environment for our students. You will learn to
work in and manage a realistic environment and there are plenty
opportunities to practice customer care as well as showcasing
industry knowledge to the public.
We also offer Apprenticeships in animal care. Contact advice.centre@northland.ac.uk
